The Deep Dive: Building Comfort and Impact in the Virtual Space
Gain comprehensive knowledge on engagement in the virtual world with a dynamic mix of lecture and activity.
From audience understanding to pitch creation, we’ll discuss all elements needed to help you deliver with confidence and impact. Sessions will demonstrate and educate with lessons that will transfer to (the eventual return of) in-person engagement.
Four sessions will be conducted over the course of two weeks – two sessions per week. Class sessions will run for 45-minutes with an option to stay for an extra
15-minute discussion that will address personalized needs or questions. As learning is progressive, we recommend all sessions are attended.
Our kick-off will discuss the evolution of presentations, how authority has been replaced by influence, and how human behavior plays a huge role in how we are all hard-wired to respond to information.
We focus on the formula of story, discussing how our own presentations can become more compelling and easier to understand. We’ll cover tactics for on-line presentation and content familiarity so you can “look the audience in the eye.”
With a deep dive into media and production, we’ll discuss variables like lighting, wardrobe, sound, and body language, pointing out the variations between stage and screen.
Joined by a media producer and graphic designer, we talk through how PowerPoints might shift, how to create your home set-up for optimal recording, and how to improvise should everything related to technology refuse to cooperate.
Bring everything together as you create a hard-hitting presentation that compels your audience to act. With a before/after approach so you can witness immediate impact, we discuss presentation style and introduce you to the AQ, comprised of four variables that if mastered, can help you better understand your audience – regardless of distance.
